The BC Adaptive Snoiwsports Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday, September 17th at the BCAS offices. The meeting is open to all currently registered, BCAS members in good standing. ASSP PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Adaptive Sports at Sun Peaks is seeking a dynamic and flexible individual to support the day-to-day operations of the organization. The Program Coordinator would initially be hired on a one-year contract. The position would be regular part-time with the number of hours per week varying throughout the year and increasing during the ski season. Must be available to work on weekends. Primary duties to include registration, scheduling, database management and fundraising.

Canucks Autism Network is partnering with Pacific Sport to offer a training workshop in Abbotsford on Saturday June 11 from 9:30-3pm. The workshop will provide an overview of autism spectrum disorders and cover multiple strategies for supporting individuals with autism within sport and recreation settings.

BC Adaptive Snowsports recognizes the high cost of participation in adaptive snowsports and is offering a Festival Travel Subsidy to CADS Festival in Kimberley, BC for March 20 – 25, 2016. This subsidy is awarded to the successful applicant and BCAS member who fulfills the following requirements:

BCPAST Athlete Chelaine McInroy was featured on CBC Sport's "Road to the Olympic Games" last Saturday, January 9th.
McInroy, was named as one of Petro-Canada's 25 Faces of Tomorrow Grant Recipients which allowed her to upgrade her sit-ski.

BC Adaptive Snowsports’ Black Diamond Gala raises $108,000 towards snowsports programing for people with disabilities
Vancouver (B.C) – On September 25th, guests gathered at the Fairmont Vancouver Hotel for the BC Adaptive Snowsports (BCAS) annual Black Diamond Gala. The fundraising event, now in its second year, aims to raise awareness and funds for snowsport programs for people with disabilities in British Columbia.
