BC Adaptive Snowsports and Rocky Mountain Adaptive All Mountain Camps are geared toward the intermediate to advance skier or snowboarder with a disability who is independent and can confidently and with control ski or snowboard a blue run. Loading assistance can be provided if needed. Participants should be able to parrallel ski and link turns on a snowboard. This a group camp setting. One on one support is not provided.
The 4-day camp focuses on a mix of race development and all mountain skill development. You will build confidence, work on your technique and socialize with old and new friends!
The camp is led by Mark Newton, Alpine Canada Para-alpine Development Manager and Jamie McCulloch, Rocky Mountain Adaptive Adaptive Para-alpine race coach and supported by qualified CADS Instructors and alpine/snowboard certified coaches.
On-snow sessions will include a mix of gate training and all around skill development as well as a recreational race. Off-snow events may include video reviews, waxing clinics, wellness sessions, guest speakers and/or social opportunities. Your registration fee includes your Saturday night dinner.
The camp is open to participants with a disability with a valid BC Adaptive Snowsports or CADS Memberships. Visually impaired skiers must provide their own guide (the registration cost for guides is included). If you require a guide, please give us ample notice and we will work on finding you a suitable guide. A guide fee of $80-100 may apply.
