Fairmont Chateau Whistler to host BC Adaptive Snowsports’ first annual Provincial Club Conference

Whistler, BC - BC Adaptive Snowsports announced today the launch of a new annual initiative deemed the Provincial Club Conference. The conference will bring together club leaders to share resources and insight into programming, events, fundraising, advocacy and administration.  The conference will be held May 8 - 10, 2020 at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, the event’s lead sponsor.

“When discussing areas of growth with our club leaders, there was a clear desire to have an annual event that brought our key stakeholders together,” explained Jeff Sauvé, Executive Director, BC Adaptive Snowsports. “We identified a way to strengthen our community, but we needed support to make it happen. A longstanding champion of accessibility and adaptive snowsports, Norman Mastalir and his team at Fairmont Chateau Whistler did not hesitate to step up and give us the boost we needed.”

“We are always looking for ways to bring our local community together and to support causes we believe in,” said Norman Mastalir, Managing Director, Fairmont Chateau Whistler. “We are proud to support BC Adaptive Snowsports in their important pursuit of providing everyone with the opportunity to get out and experience the freedom and joy of being on the mountain.”

With the multi-year support of Fairmont Chateau Whistler, BC Adaptive Snowsports will organize a three-day conference with their club leaders and industry experts. In addition to being the host venue of the three-day conference, the hotel’s Fairmont Chateau Whistler Foundation will be making a charitable donation to BC Adaptive Snowsports. The Fairmont Chateau Whistler Foundation was created with the intention of supporting local causes within the community that align with the core values of Fairmont Chateau Whistler and its employees.
