Canucks Autism Network workshop - June 11th
Canucks Autism Network is partnering with Pacific Sport to offer a training workshop in Abbotsford on Saturday June 11 from 9:30-3pm. The workshop will provide an overview of autism spectrum disorders and cover multiple strategies for supporting individuals with autism within sport and recreation settings. The workshop provides information that is applicable for supporting individuals of various abilities (across the autism spectrum) from early childhood through adulthood, and strategies are very relevant for other populations as well (e.g., ADHD, learning disabilities, FASD, typically developing children). The workshop includes lots of opportunity for hands-on practice. It would be useful for community coaches, parks & recreation staff, parents, school support staff, or anyone else who wants to learn more about supporting individuals with ASD.
Cost is $20 to attend and a link for registration is provided on the poster: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/canucks-autism-network-workshop-tickets-25217549369
