BC Adaptive Snowsports is the Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) responsible for the development of the sport of Para-alpine in BC.
Please refer to the Long Term Skier Development for more information about the pathway for a para-alpine athlete from grassroots to the National Team.
The BC Para-alpine Ski Team (BCPAST) addresses the Learn to train and Train to Train stages of the LTSD.
The objective of the BC Para-alpine ski team is to identify, engage, and develop Para-alpine athletes with the ultimate goal of being identified by the Canadian Para-alpine Ski Team (CPAST). Further the athletes, when identified by CPAST are well rounded, capable and prepared to be part of a national level program.
Our vision is to remain the strongest provincial Para-alpine program in the country. We believe that we can be leaders in Canadian Para-alpine sport. BCPAST will continue to develop athletes for the national team, to represent Canada and BC on the international and Paralympic level. Because of the excellence of our program, and athlete results we will attract athletes from across the country.
The road to becoming a para-alpine racer with BCPAST starts with our Building Our Best (BOB) program. Please refer to the BOB page for more information or connect with Fannie Smith (firstname.lastname@example.org) for assistance on how to get started!
